Ben Cline votes to support domestic terrorists

Ben Cline votes to support domestic terrorists

In light of the most recent mass shooting events in Buffalo and Uvalde and the 230 other mass shooting events (defined by 4 or more people shot or killed not including the assailant) in the first 6 months of 2022, one would think that there would be overwhelming support for prevention of domestic terrorism.

Unfortunately, our Virginia 6th Congressional District Representative Ben Cline does not agree and he voted against the congressional bill as detailed below.  This bill allows law enforcement organizations to create and share information and allow agencies to cooperate with the goal of preventing mass events like shootings and even the Oklahoma City bombing by the domestic terrorist Timothy McVeigh.

This bill has Nothing to do with the Second Amendment.  Please see the link to the bill below for further information

HR. 350 Domestic Terrorism Prevention Act of 2022

Bill Summary:

This bill establishes new requirements to expand the availability of information on domestic terrorism, as well as the relationship between domestic terrorism and hate crimes.

It authorizes domestic terrorism components within the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), the Department of Justice (DOJ), and the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) to monitor, analyze, investigate and prosecute domestic terrorism.

The domestic terrorism components of DHS, DOJ, and the FBI must jointly report on domestic terrorism, including white-supremacist-related incidents or attempted incidents.

DHS, DOJ, and the FBI must review the anti-terrorism training and resource programs of their agencies that are provided to federal, state, local and tribal law enforcement agencies.

Additionally, DOJ must make training on prosecuting domestic terrorism available to its prosecutors and to assistant U.S. attorneys.

It creates an interagency task force to analyze and combat white supremacist and neo-Nazi infiltration of the uniformed services and federal law enforcement agencies.

Finally, it directs the FBI to assign a special agent or hate crimes liaison to each field office to investigate hate crimes incidents with a nexus to domestic terrorism.

Ben Cline votes NO to lowering the cost of insulin and all medications

Ben Cline votes NO to lowering the cost of insulin and all medications In my 25 years as a Nurse Practitioner in Virginia, I have treated many patients with diabetes who require insulin to live.  Uncontrolled diabetes has a staggering cost to the individual and their family as well as to the health care system and nation in general.  It can result in increased risk of complications such as blindness, vascular disease and amputations, heart attacks, and death.  Financial costs can include the cost of personal bankruptcy, unnecessary hospitalizations, loss of work, increased insurance premiums, etc.   This is why I cannot fathom why the Virginia 6th Congressional District Republican Representative Ben Cline voted NO on March 31 2022 on The Affordable Insulin Now Act and voted NO to the Lower Drug Costs Now Act of 2019. He also voted NO again to the Inflation Reduction Act of 2022 which allows Medicare to negotiate lower drug costs, caps the price of insu...

Ben Cline votes against your right to contraception and increases your risk of health problems

Ben Cline voted NO to the Right to Contraception Act . This bill protects an individual's ability to access contraceptives, engage in contraception, and protects a health care provider's ability to provide contraceptives, contraception, and information related to contraception. By voting no he denies contraceptives of all types including condoms which are used to prevent pregnancy as well as preventing sexually transmitted infections (STI).   Ben Cline doesn't care if you get an STI ? I hope not. Hormonal contraceptives (oral contraceptives, hormonal patches, intravaginal rings, and IUDs) are used medically for other conditions including dysfunctional uterine bleeding (DUB), dysmenorrhea (painful periods), oligomenorrhea (infrequent periods), polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS), uterine fibroids, endometriosis, acne and others.  Hormonal imbalances can even contribute to worsening of migraine headaches. The last time I looked, Ben Cline does not have an NP or MD or PA behind...
